Well m'dear, It Seems Autumn Is Here.

I know Fall is supposed to be a fashionista's favourite season. I know I'm supposed to be conjuring beautiful images in my brain of jumping into large piles of leaves while wearing cosy knits and riding boots before heading inside to laugh in front of a fireplace with friends while drinking hot cocoa.

But I'm not feeling it. As a person whose favourite two accessories are tights and layering you'd think I'd be shitting my pants in excitement - but all I can feel is pissed off, because in fall you can never dress for the weather. You're too cold or too hot but you're never just right.

However, there is one thing that could make me change my mind...

These boots. Black or "Gaucho", I don't care because I plan on owning both eventually. But these boots.... these boots would make Fall worth the drama.

Forever 21 bow-tie ring & skirt, secondhand black tee, Simply Vera tights, Payless heels and fleamarket necklace.

Wore this on Thursday, although in the interest of full disclosure during the day on campus I wore it with Docs, and these shoes later on when I was running errands. This outfit makes me feel like a bit of a cupcake - not entirely sure how that makes sense, I just know how I feel.

On Those Back To School Tips

Back at Uni, starting third year, and officially scared shitless. People thought I was crazy for choosing Neuroscience as my specialization and now I see why. My first week isn't even over yet and I can tell this year is going to be the most stressful yet.

Photoboothed my outfit out of laziness:

Bongo jeans, Dynamite Blazer, Forever 21 scarf and blouse, Guess? bracelet, H&M rings.

I dunno if you noticed but new glasses! Got oversized frames in a spirit of academia. Not sure if they're working but it's the thought that counts, right? Also, the messenger bag was my school bag in third grade, and now I'm using it again in third year. Shows that when you (or your lovely parents) spend money on quality stuff, it WILL last you forever.

Contemplating putting up pictures of my new room since I'm pretty proud of it - spent the last week organizing it since I got back to school. It's crazy how much you can fit in a room slightly larger than the average closet.

The Limit Does Not Exist.

Would like to apologize for my absence. Partly due to being exceptionally busy - travelling to Waterloo to see friends (twice), going to NYC with family, packing to move back to school and trying to spend every last moment at home with friends, before I have to leave. The other reason is a bit of disillusionment with blogging, and how it's warped my shopping habits. Although with going back to school next week, a student budget of pretty much zero for shopping should sort that right out.

Got tatted today, the first of many to come. The symbol is called a lemniscate; it stands for infinity. In calculus, the lemniscate is often used to denote that the limit of an function is infinite or boundless - in other words, the limit does not exist.

It's a philosophy I hope to incorporate into my life more often heading into my third year of University. Last year was a bit of a train wreck for me, both academically and emotionally and I'm hoping to make a lot of changes. Now this symbol is here to remind me that Impossible Is Nothing, to always believe in my abilities and the bigger, better things on the horizon.
